On May 15, 2017, our designed and produced landfill gas pretreatment system with a 12000Nm3/h treatment capacity is officially put into operation. The system supports the biogas generation project of Chang’an Landfill, Chengdu.
This is China’s largest single biogas generation project with a total installed capacity of 20.8MW.
The project covers a total area of about 10 mu and can treat over 4,000 tons of household garbage every day. The construction starts in August 2016. Phase One boasts a total investment of 141 million yuan and a total installed capacity of 20.8MW with 14 installed GE Jenbacher 1487KW gas engines. The all-covering admission system can greatly improve the collection efficiency of landfill gas. It is estimated that the annual generating capacity will be 145.6 million kWh and the annual CO2 reduction nearly one million tons.
When put into operation, the project will greatly improve the resource utilization of municipal solid waste and improve the living environment in Chengdu. It will be an important milestone in the city’s energy saving and emission reduction. At the same time, the project will also promote regional economic growth, accelerate the process of urbanization and facilitate harmonious, benign and sustainable development of the local economy and environment.
